I really enjoyed working on all the projects for the Digital Imagery class. This is the class where I saw the most progress in my design skills. I also loved every single project we worked on in Advanced Web 1.
I work for a company called Chroma Imaging, which is based in Herndon, Virginia. I was originally hired on as a graphic designer in 2012 when I moved to the east coast. A year and a half later I obtained the title of Print Production Lead. I now work directly with external clients and our internal team. All finished designs come to me before going to print where I preflight and do perform quality checks. Once jobs are sent to print, I work one on one with the production team and give them the information and instructions they need in order to finish a job and complete an order. The best part about it is that all of this is done remotely from home, which was made possible when I moved back to California in May 2014.
Running, playing soccer, working out, yoga, hiking, reading, singing, writing poems, painting, designing, and any DIY projects I find on Pinterest.
Amanda Rincon lives in San Diego, California. Having been born and raised in California, she’s had the opportunity to live in some of the best cities California has to offer. She has been part of the graphic design industry since high school, and web design introduced itself to her during her undergrad studies. She graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s in graphic communication and a concentration in web and digital media. She took three years off school in order to get professional work experience under her belt. In the summer of 2015, she applied and was accepted into the MAMC program, where she is now a full-time student while also working full time.

One of the biggest achievements in this program so far is passing every class with straight As, something I didn’t think I was going to be able to accomplish. Through these courses, I have not only considerably improved my design skills and become more confident in them, but I have finally also learned how to properly design responsive websites using HTML5 and CSS3 and WordPress. Those are skills I have been wanting to pick up for a long time, but struggled to figure them out on my own. Lastly, this program has really helped me develop my voice and overcome my fear of presenting my work to my peers. The MAMC program has really pushed me and challenged me in ways that have brought out my true potential and I couldn’t be more thankful for the amazing journey.
Print Production Lead and Graphic Designer, Chroma Imaging
Of all the graduate programs I looked into, the UF MAMC program was the only program that offered everything I was looking for, and it worked with both my work personal and work schedules.
How helpful and friendly all of the professors in this program are.
