Mike Weigold is director of distance education and associate dean for Undergraduate Affairs at the University of Florida. He has won numerous awards for his teaching and research and is author of two textbooks adopted in advertising courses around the world. He is passionate about the power of education to transform lives.
Associate Director of Distance Learning
Kara is a proud graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communication’s Web Design and Online Communication master’s program. Prior to obtaining her master’s degree, Kara graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 2012 with a B.S. in Advertising and a B.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism with a specialization in Event Management.
Audience Analytics Program Director
Dr. Coffey’s research centers on media management and economics, and audience valuation and non-English language audiences in the United States in particular. She has examined linguistic market segmentation and Hispanic television audiences, as well as the legal and economic questions of market definition. Learn more about the Audience Analytics program.
Global Strategic Communication Program Director
Robert Grupp is director of the master of arts in mass communications graduate program in global strategic communication in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. Public Relations Program Director
Sarab Kochhar, Ph.D., associate director in APCO Worldwide’s Washington, D.C., office, serves as a strategic counsel for clients on measurement and evaluation for communication programs. Dr. Kochhar primarily works with clients across the globe to develop measurement techniques and provide insights to clients. Dr. Kochhar also holds the position as the Director of Research with the Institute for Public Relations (IPR). At IPR, she is the chief research strategist, advising and leading the Institute on priorities and research programs.
Social Media Program Director
Dr. Andrew Selepak is the program director for the social media online master’s degree specialization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in American History, a MA from George Mason University in Communications, and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida in mass communications. Director of Marketing and Engagement
Lisa graduated from the College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism specializing in online media, and a MAMC in social media in 2014. She leads marketing efforts for the College’s distance programs, focusing on lead generation, brand building, and social media. She edits the programs’ blogs, and designs, develops and maintains the programs’ websites.
Distance Graduate Advisor
Tiffany is a double Gator, having received both a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master of Arts in mass communications in web design and online communications from the University of Florida. With over nine years in the academic and nonprofit sectors, Tiffany uses her extensive experience with digital development, event management, customer service, and strategic communications to provide the best possible support to staff, faculty, alumni, and students of the distance learning program.
