The Advisory Council to the master’s degree program in Web Design and Online Communication is comprised of people who broadly represent the demographics of the profession globally. Members are leaders from a wide range of communication and design careers. Council members have unique access and insight into marketing, branding, and communications in a variety of industries.
The Advisory Council role is two-fold. First, the council helps the college confirm and document the skills and capabilities that employers seek in graduates of the web design master’s degree program. Second, the council helps to ensure the program has adequate resources and a relevant, well-designed curriculum to provide students with the capabilities, knowledge and behaviors necessary to succeed. The Council is chaired by the graduate director of the program.
Group Creative Director, Managing Director, 160over90
Greg Ash is the creative director responsible for the 160over90 south office. He began his career designing apparel for a local surfing company where he uncovered a passion for the outdoors and the art of branding. Over a decade later, he has seen the inside of global advertising firms and small design boutiques. His work has been featured in The One Show, Communication Arts, and published in half a dozen books. Greg has developed brand campaigns for a dozen universities as well as consumer clients including Google, Ferrari of North America, Johnson & Johnson, the Miami Dolphins, and American Eagle.
Director of Interactive, 160over90
As director of interactive, Ryan Blain is involved in the planning, oversight, and execution of digital projects across all of the agency’s clients. Ryan began his career at 160over90 as a website designer and developer, creating award wining online experiences for American Eagle Outfitters, Steven Starr Restaurants, and University of Dayton. After more than five years of running his own interactive consultancy, designing and building websites for clients like University of Pennsylvania, Roanoke College, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ryan returned to 160over90 to manage the agency’s team of interactive designers, user experience experts, and web developers. Ryan is a graduate of La Salle University with a degree in digital arts and multimedia design.
Photographer, ESPN Images
Joe Faraoni is a staff photographer for ESPN Images. Joe graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in communication technology. He began as a multimedia editor for the ESPN communications department in 2006 working on websites, social media, corporate presentations, and anything that required more than right-clicking.
Joe photographs a wide variety of events around the Bristol campus, the U.S. and internationally telling the company’s story in an impactful way. Some of his duties include photographing in-studio shows, corporate photography, shooting sports and live events for historical, editorial and promotional materials throughout ESPN. Joe’s work is used throughout The Walt Disney Company, ABC and ESPN.
Lead Experience Designer, Sharpspring
Teresa Cocherell Gordon is lead experience designer for Sharpspring, a leader in marketing automation. A lifelong Gator with a love of science and engineering, she especially enjoys helping to provide a platform for the educational and research communities. Prior to UF, she served as art director, graphic designer and front-end web developer at a Gainesville-based ad agency and worked in the print and PR industries.

Lead Developer, WordPress
Mark Jaquith is lead developer for WordPress, the most widely-used web publishing platform in the world. He provides freelance web publishing consulting services to companies and organizations from around the globe. Mark enjoys working with established media companies and helping them publish more effectively on the web, but his mission is lowering the barrier of entry for anyone who wants to publish their ideas. An insatiable problem solver, Mark likes to think about how technology, social customs, and political systems can work together to advance the state of human communication and broaden our collective knowledge base.
Account Supervisor, 160over90
Isabella Jebian earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. She began her career at Zimmerman Advertising where she managed more than 30 retail automotive accounts during her three year tenure. Working in tier 3 automotive retail, she quickly learned the importance of gaining sales overnight while still building a brand. Now with 160over90, Isabella is an account supervisor at the Florida office, where she is dedicated to building and maintaining relationships where the foundation is always the passion for the brand.
Senior Director of Content Production, MECLABS Institute
Austin McCraw, senior director of content production, MECLABS Institute, has traveled around the country teaching the MECLABS Value Proposition Development Course at Fortune 50 companies and enterprise startups. He works directly with marketing departments to help them discover and optimize their company’s value propositions. He is also a regular host of MarketingExperiment’s Web clinics, where he takes an in-depth look at case studies that target marketing pain points. He advocates for implementing customer logic over company logic in marketing campaigns, as well as testing key elements in emails, on pages and in ads to gain insights and deliver value to customers.
Senior Product Manager, Adobe
Ryan Stewart is a senior product manager on the web tools team. He has spent the past eight years at Adobe evangelizing products for the Web and helping to create them as a product manager. He’s spent his entire career thinking about how to make the web better, initially as a front end developer and later as a product manager. He has spoken at a number of industry conferences including Webvisions, Adobe MAX, Future of Web Design, SXSW, FITC, and Web Design World.
Web Design Program Director, University of Florida
Andrew Selepak, Ph.D., is program director for the Social Media and Web Design online master’s degree specializations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in American history, a Master of Arts from George Mason University in communications and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida in mass communication. His research interests include political communication, online and social media, video games, music and websites. Specifically, Andrew has researched extremist groups and their use of the Internet and various forms of media to recruit and spread their message.
