She earned her B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Florida, her M.A. in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Southern California, and her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Tennessee. Her work spans both academia and industry, and she has consulted with major global organizations, including Meta, HubSpot, Hootsuite, Churchill Downs, GE Appliances, Sun Tan City, GM, the CDC, and NATO, helping them navigate complex communication challenges and build stronger digital engagement strategies. She is also an avid writer and continues to work on book projects that explore trends and innovations in the PR profession.</p>

<p>Erin McIntyre is a documentary storyteller, digital producer, and editor with more than a decade of experience in public media and digital content innovation. She holds a Master of Arts in Documentary from The New School, where she developed a deep passion for narrative craft and the power of editing to shape meaning. Her work has been recognized by the Emmy Awards, the Webby Awards, and was nominated for a GLAAD Award, reflecting her commitment to storytelling that resonates, informs, and inspires. As Executive Producer at The WNET Group, she led digital initiatives across broadcast and social platforms and founded WNET’s Digital Studios department, where she helped redefine how public media connects with modern audiences.</p>



<p>She brings that same creative energy to her teaching, and she is excited to guide students through the art and practice of editing in the CJC Online graduate program. Her academic interests include documentary production, digital storytelling, editing theory, and the evolving role of technology in shaping how stories are crafted and consumed. In her courses, she emphasizes a hands-on, collaborative learning environment where students can experiment, refine their artistic voice, and build real-world skills.
