Erin McIntyre is a documentary storyteller, digital producer, and editor with more than a decade of experience in public media and digital content innovation. She holds a Master of Arts in Documentary from The New School, where she developed a deep passion for narrative craft and the power of editing to shape meaning. Her work has been recognized by the Emmy Awards, the Webby Awards, and was nominated for a GLAAD Award, reflecting her commitment to storytelling that resonates, informs, and inspires. As Executive Producer at The WNET Group, she led digital initiatives across broadcast and social platforms and founded WNET’s Digital Studios department, where she helped redefine how public media connects with modern audiences.
She brings that same creative energy to her teaching, and she is excited to guide students through the art and practice of editing in the CJC Online graduate program. Her academic interests include documentary production, digital storytelling, editing theory, and the evolving role of technology in shaping how stories are crafted and consumed. In her courses, she emphasizes a hands-on, collaborative learning environment where students can experiment, refine their artistic voice, and build real-world skills. She believes constructive feedback, ethical awareness, and a willingness to iterate are essential to becoming a strong editor, and she structures her teaching around those values.
