MMC 6421 - Research Methods in Mass Communication

The students in this course will learn the methods and strategies to use when evaluating online communication tools. Through effective working knowledge and real-world applications, the students will analyze and apply various types of research methods and tools.
In this course, students will learn to:
- Apply the research process to obtain data to advance understanding of an issue/question.
- Determine the research method and design research that addresses the issue or question that needs to be addressed.
- Analyze and critically assess qualitative and quantitative research conducted by others.
- Explain practical challenges to practitioner implemented research.
