Jessica Blair-Ta, M.Ed.
Instructional Designer
Jessica Blair-Ta is a Senior Instructional Designer and eLearning specialist with more than a decade of experience in education, curriculum development, and corporate learning. She holds a B.A. in English from Wright State University and an M.A. in Teaching from East Carolina University. Before transitioning into instructional design, Jessica taught high school English and developed a curriculum that emphasized student-centered learning. She later transitioned into corporate learning and development (L&D) at Zillow, where she also serves as the creator and host of an internal podcast that highlights the company’s business lines, culture, and products. Jessica brings her expertise in storytelling, audience engagement, and multimedia learning to her work as part of the UF CJC Online Instructional Design Team, where she partners with faculty to build high-quality online graduate courses that meet UF and Quality Matters standards.
Jessica is delighted to teach Podcasting and Social Media Community Management in the CJC Online graduate program. She is committed to helping students build real-world communication and content-creation skills they can rely on long after graduation. Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that learners thrive when they bring their full lived experiences into the classroom. She strives to provide multiple pathways for engagement and believes passion is contagious. She teaches only what she truly loves, intending to inspire students to discover their own creative energy and professional voice. She looks forward to supporting students, offering grace when life happens, and helping them achieve great things throughout the semester.
