Kelly has worked in the international higher education field for 10 years, becoming specialized in intercultural communication, intercultural competency and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work. She is passionate about helping others better understand each other through cross-cultural understanding, communication and inclusivity practices.
Kelly earned her bachelor’s in Journalism and Public Relations from Michigan State University and her master’s in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago. She worked in the non-profit development and communication field for nearly five years before transitioning to her work in intercultural and international education.
Kelly is a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory and provides intercultural coaching for students and professionals. In 2017, Kelly was accepted as Fellow with the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication in Portland, Oregon.
