With a B.A. in Television Production and an M.A. in Digital Journalism from the University of South Florida, Knowles brings over 17 years of rich and diverse experience in the news industry. Her journey began as a print journalist and photographer, eventually transitioning to broadcast journalism. Currently, she serves as an Emmy-nominated Senior Producer and Reporter for PBS Orlando, where she creates, develops, and reports on topics of significance to our community. She also hosts a Spanish segment on social media platforms, and maintains a strong online presence.
Throughout her career in Florida, She has worked in Tampa, Sarasota, and Orlando, gaining experience as both an anchor and a reporter. She had the privilege of covering a wide range of stories, from rocket launches on the Space Coast to in-depth investigative reports. Her dedication to journalism has been recognized with numerous awards, including Associated Press honors, Telly Awards, and Green Eyeshade accolades. Outside of her professional duties, she enjoys hosting shows and conventions in Orlando, occasionally dabbling in acting, which adds a fun and dynamic element to her life.
Originally from Tampa, she’s had the unique experience of living in California, Canada, Bahamas and Lima, Peru, which has enriched her perspective and storytelling abilities.
