Author, Journalist, and Documentarian
Dr. Victor Evans is an author, journalist and documentarian. He has been teaching in higher education for over 19 years. Before teaching, Dr. Evans was an entertainment journalist, working with many organizations in both New York and Los Angeles, including Entertainment Weekly, People, MTV, Guest Informant and BET. He also worked as an entertainment producer for CNN’s Headline News. Dr. Evans is also a documentary filmmaker whose production company, CrossRoads Productions, creates media literacy videos to educate adolescents on various multicultural issues, including Curved TV, which analyzes LGBTQ media images on television to determine how they affect queer youth as they come to terms with their sexuality. He is also the author of the LGBTQ middle-grade Evan Sinclair Mysteries series, and he co-wrote the sci-fi space opera trilogy Luminous Void.
