Instructional Designer II


Jesse Javillonar is a member of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Division of Distance Education, where he serves on the instructional design team specializing in eLearning development, course design, and the creation of engaging online learning experiences. With more than a decade of experience in education, he is committed to designing accessible, learner-centered courses that support student success in online environments.

Before joining the University of Florida, Jesse served as a learning experience designer and school librarian in Texas public schools. In those roles, he developed online learning resources, facilitated professional learning opportunities for faculty and staff, and led initiatives focused on research, digital literacy, and the integration of educational technology. His work has consistently centered on creating meaningful learning experiences and helping educators leverage technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Jesse holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University, a Master of Science in Library Science from Sam Houston State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Education from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
